Spring Maternity Session | Eastborough Park, Wichita, KS
There’s something about spring mornings that feels like a quiet beginning. The air is soft, the light stretches gently across the trees, and everything seems to whisper that something new is on its way.
This session at Eastborough Park felt especially meaningful. This wasn’t a first-time mama stepping into the unknown… this was her third baby — and her final one.
There was a tenderness to the entire morning that you could feel without anyone saying a word.
She moved slower, more intentionally. Her hands rested on her belly like she was trying to memorize every little movement. There was a quiet confidence in her, but also this deep awareness — that this season, this feeling, this version of motherhood… was coming to a close.
And that changes everything.
The blooming trees, the soft grass, the golden light filtering through — it all felt like the perfect reflection of what she was carrying. Not just a baby, but years of motherhood, memories, growth, and becoming.
There’s something sacred about a “last.”
Not because it’s the end… but because you finally understand how fleeting it all is.
As I photographed her, I kept thinking about how different this kind of session feels. It’s not filled with the same uncertainty or anticipation as a first pregnancy. It’s layered. It’s full. It’s emotional in a quieter, deeper way.
She knows what’s coming — the sleepless nights, the tiny fingers, the overwhelming love.
And she also knows… how quickly it will pass.
As a Wichita maternity photographer, sessions like this remind me that maternity photography isn’t just about documenting a growing belly. It’s about honoring a season — whether it’s the beginning of motherhood or the closing of a chapter.
Both deserve to be seen.
Both deserve to be remembered.
If you’re expecting and want to capture this season — whether it’s your first baby or your final one — I would love to help you tell that story. You can learn more about my maternity sessions or reach out directly. There’s something so special about creating space to remember what this season truly feels like.
And I promise… it’s worth holding onto.
Cheering for you, Tisha
