Meet Elliana | Garden Girls 2027 Senior Rep Team | Tisha Megan Photography

There is something so special about senior year.

It is full of firsts—but also so many lasts.

The last first day of school. The last football game. The last time sitting in the same classroom with friends you've grown up with. The last school events, last performances, last season of high school sports.

And somewhere in the middle of all of those firsts and lasts, you're realizing just how quickly this season is going by.

That is one of the reasons I'm so excited to introduce you to Elliana, one of my Garden Girls 2027 Senior Rep Team girls!

Elliana is a senior at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, and she is the kind of girl who knows that senior year isn't just something to get through—it's something to experience.

Meet Elliana

Elliana describes herself as fun, loving, and adventurous, and I think those three words capture her so well.

She loves spending time with her friends and boyfriend, especially during the summer, and if there's a lake involved, even better!

Lake days with the people you love? Yes, please.

She is also the older sister to a cool little brother, which I have a feeling gives her a pretty special perspective on family and growing up.

And when she's not spending time with the people she loves, Elliana stays busy with plenty of activities.

She's involved in theater, softball, and Bible study, and she also works as a para at Latchkey.

So clearly, she knows how to keep life interesting!

And if you need to find her for a little shopping or coffee, you'll probably have luck at Town East Mall or 7 Brew. 😂

Why Elliana Wanted to Be a Garden Girl

When I asked Elliana why she wanted to be part of the Garden Girls, her answer was one I absolutely loved.

She said she wanted to:

“Experience my senior year with girls going through the same experiences as me, and to learn more about posing.”

And I think that is such a beautiful picture of what I want this team to be.

Senior year can feel like such a strange in-between season.

You're still a high school student, but you're also starting to think seriously about what comes next.

You're watching friendships change.

You're making memories with people you may not see every day after graduation.

You're figuring out who you are and who you want to become.

Having girls around you who are walking through that same season can make it even more special.

I want the Garden Girls to have that opportunity—to connect, laugh, encourage one another, and simply enjoy being seniors together.

And yes, Elliana, we are absolutely going to have some fun learning those posing skills! 😉

The Firsts and Lasts of Senior Year

When I asked Elliana what she is most looking forward to about senior year, she gave me two answers:

Graduating and experiencing all of the first lasts.

That phrase.

First lasts.

I love it.

Because that really is what senior year becomes.

You start realizing that some of the ordinary things you've done for years are happening for the final time.

And suddenly, those ordinary moments don't feel so ordinary.

That's why I hope Elliana soaks it all in.

The theater moments.

The softball seasons.

The time with friends.

The lake days.

The random 7 Brew runs.

The laughter with her little brother.

The time with her boyfriend.

The school traditions.

The moments she doesn't realize are important until later.

I hope she notices them.

I hope she remembers them.

And I hope she lets herself be fully present for this season before she walks across that graduation stage.

Why I'm Excited to Have Elliana as a Garden Girl

As a Wichita senior photographer, one of my favorite things about senior portraits is getting to capture more than just a pretty picture.

I want to know the person I'm photographing.

What makes her laugh.

What she loves.

What she's involved in.

Who matters to her.

What she's excited about.

What she's nervous about.

And what makes her completely herself.

Elliana has such a fun combination of adventure, love for people, faith, family, and excitement for what's ahead.

I already know we're going to have so much fun creating senior portraits that feel like her.

Not just beautiful images, but photographs that take her right back to this particular season of life.

Elliana, I am SO excited you're part of the Garden Girls 2027 Senior Rep Team!

I hope this year gives you exactly what you're hoping for—new friendships, incredible memories, lots of adventures, and a senior year that you'll look back on with the biggest smile.

And when graduation finally comes, I hope you can look back and say, I really lived it.

Welcome to the Garden Girls, Elliana! 🩵
