There are moments in business that remind you exactly why you said "yes" in the first place.
For me, this was one of them.
After months of dreaming, planning, and praying, I finally got to meet the incredible girls who make up my very first Garden Girls Senior Rep Team. Seeing everyone together at Botanica, The Wichita Gardens, felt like watching an idea I've carried in my heart finally come to life.
As a Wichita, Kansas senior photographer, my heart has never been to simply take beautiful senior pictures.
Yes, we'll create images these girls will treasure forever, but my prayer is that they leave this experience with something even more valuable, confidence, genuine friendships, and memories they'll carry long after graduation.
That's what the Garden Girls are all about.
When I was dreaming about this team, I kept coming back to one thought...
Senior year is about so much more than the cap and gown.
It's a year of becoming.
It's a year of discovering who you are, dreaming about what's next, and making memories you'll look back on for years to come.
I wanted these girls to have a place where they could slow down, be encouraged, and know they don't have to compete to belong.
And as I looked around the table during our meet & greet, I couldn't help but smile.
Girls who had never met before were already talking, laughing, and encouraging one another.
The nervous smiles slowly turned into genuine ones.
The awkward introductions became easy conversations.
And before we even started taking photos, something beautiful was already happening.
Community was beginning.
Choosing Botanica in Wichita for our first gathering felt like the perfect way to begin this journey. The gardens were full of spring color, beautiful blooms, and little reminders that growth doesn't happen overnight.
Neither does confidence.
Confidence grows one encouraging conversation at a time.
One brave "yes" at a time.
One moment of realizing you are enough, exactly as you are.
As a Wichita senior photographer, those are the moments I love capturing just as much as the portraits themselves.
The laughter between poses.
The friendships forming.
The joy that can't be posed.
Because those are the moments that tell the real story.

Thank you for trusting me with your senior year. I already know this group is going to make this first year so incredibly special, and I cannot wait to watch each of you grow throughout the months ahead.
