There is something really exciting about the beginning of a new senior year.

New friendships. New experiences. New opportunities. And that feeling that you have one more year to soak up all the things that make high school high school before everything changes.

That is exactly why I am so excited about this year's Garden Girls 2027 Senior Rep Team at Tisha Megan Photography.

And today, I get to introduce you to one of my Garden Girls: Abbi!

Meet Abbi

Abbi is a senior at Sedgwick High School, and she is the kind of girl who brings energy with her wherever she goes.

She's outgoing, loves being outside, and has a seriously fun personality. She's also funny, loves making jokes, and has a way of making people feel comfortable and supported. One of the things I really admire about her is how empathetic she is. She's good at being there for people, cheering them on, and finding the positive even when things don't go exactly as planned.

And then there's everything she's involved in!

Abbi is part of FFA and 4-H, loves motocross, and is happiest when she's outside doing something. She also has some pretty great favorites—The Buckle, Boot Barn, and 7 Brew are all right up her alley.

But Abbi isn't all country adventures and 7 Brew runs.

She's also a big reader and, as a fun fact, she tries to read a book every week!

And if you need something to watch after finishing that book, Abbi is a big fan of dystopian movies and loves R&B music.

Basically, there's a lot more to this girl than meets the eye, and that's one of the things I love about getting to know my seniors.

Why Abbi Wanted to Be a Garden Girl

When I asked Abbi why she wanted to be part of the Garden Girls, her answer immediately stood out to me.

She said she thought being part of the team would help her meet new people and open the door to future friendships and opportunities.

YES.

That is exactly what I want this experience to be.

Because while we are absolutely going to create beautiful senior portraits together, I want this team to be about so much more than pictures.

I want these girls to meet people they might not have otherwise met.

I want them to laugh together.

I want them to encourage each other.

I want them to try something new.

I want them to make memories.

And I want them to walk away from their senior year knowing that they were part of something special.

Making Memories During Her Senior Year

When I asked Abbi what she is most looking forward to about her senior year, her answer was simple:

Making memories.

And honestly, I hope she does exactly that.

I hope she makes friendships that surprise her.

I hope she laughs until her stomach hurts.

I hope she says yes to opportunities that stretch her.

I hope she spends plenty of time outside doing the things she loves.

I hope she keeps finding the positive, even when life doesn't go according to plan.

And I hope she takes time to enjoy this season instead of rushing toward whatever comes next.

Because senior year goes by SO much faster than you think it will.

One minute you're starting high school, and suddenly you're looking at graduation.

Why I'm So Excited to Have Abbi as a Garden Girl

One of my favorite parts of being a Wichita senior photographer is getting to know the person behind the senior.

Your senior photos should look like YOU.

Not like everyone else's.

Not like a Pinterest board.

Not like someone else's idea of what a senior session is supposed to be.

They should capture your personality, your interests, your style, your people, and the things that make this particular season of your life yours.

And Abbi has SO much personality to bring to the table.

I already know we're going to have so much fun creating senior portraits that feel like her—whether we're somewhere out in the Kansas countryside, incorporating the things she loves, or simply laughing and making memories along the way.

Abbi, I am SO excited you're part of the Garden Girls 2027 Senior Rep Team!

Thank you for bringing your positive attitude, your humor, your empathy, and your adventurous spirit to this team.

I can't wait to see the friendships you'll make, the opportunities that come your way, and all the memories you'll create during your senior year.
